Electronics Engineer Intern

At ROICO we are developing a collaborative painting tool using robotic technology. We empower painters with a solution that works alongside them, allowing them to focus on high-value and value-creating tasks. This tool will help painters increase their productivity, reduce physically straining tasks, and address the labor shortage among painting companies.

We are looking for an intern to assist with the mechanical design/manufacturing for our collaborative mobile painting robot

What will you do?

  • Evaluate the performance of different sensors in our robot

  • Program and evaluate the performance of different microcontrollers

  • Design PCBs for integrating some of the sensors

  • Test different communication protocols, i.e I2C, SPI, CAN-BUS

What we look for

  • Relevant (ongoing) education, in Mechanical, Electronics or Mechatronics or Robotics Engineering
  • An eye for details and aesthetics
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience working with CAD, we are currently using Fusion 360
  • Experience with 3D printing, and optionally with CNC-milling, sheet metal fabrication
